As a lifelong Seattleite, Shannon Wing brings a passion for community-centered design. She entered the architecture field following in her grandfather’s footsteps, receiving her Bachelor of Art in Architecture from the University of Washington and her Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland. During her education, she spent time in France and Italy, absorbing inspiration from the local art, architecture, and culture. Following a short period working in Washington, DC, Shannon returned to the more “laid-back” West Coast and now resides in Seattle with her husband, two young children, and their family dog. Outside of the office, she enjoys camping, canoeing, and helping her husband with his family’s hard cider business.
Shannon’s focus on community filters into all aspects of her work at Atelier Drome. On every project, Shannon prioritizes personal connections – both with the client and within the design and construction team. Working closely with clients and future occupants, she designs spaces that meet their immediate needs and enrich the local community. She is currently working on several projects in West Seattle, and has recently finished work on a multi-family project in the Queen Anne neighborhood.
