A dual French and American citizen, Alice recalls spending her childhood summers in France with family that formed the base of her cultural curiosity and how architecture can reveal the history of a place and its evolution. Alice loves spending her time directly making a difference with people. Whether it be volunteering to tutor kids on English as a second language or working directly with clients, she enjoys getting to know people and discovering what they want. This is what led her to specialize more on the residential side, both new construction and remodels, because of the opportunity to translate the unique dreams of individuals into a home that speaks to them and working with the fabric of a place through weaving the layers of history with old next to new.
Alice grew up in Brooklyn, New York, soaking up the character of New York City's many diverse neighborhoods. She enjoys the hunt for inspiration, answers and solutions that transform an idea into a real space. In particular, she loves simple and clean designs and believes that these qualities find their way into any specific design style she works in. “My favorite spaces have classic forms and balance but are distilled down to their most simple components. I’m always trying to design around and for the 'unbuilt' part of a space such as light and views.”
