Belltown Condo
Located in downtown Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood, this two-bedroom, two-bath condo needed a facelift to better suit the owners’ lifestyle and aesthetic. While the floorplan remained the same, the entire unit was transformed with new finishes, fixtures, and custom details. The sleek and modern look was softened with touches of wood for a space that feels warm and comfortable for everyday living.
The open floorplan centers around a bright kitchen that was redesigned for ergonomics and a clean style. The new marble-look quartz countertops and white cabinetry were raised to suit the owners’ needs better. A large, open bar is wrapped with new navy bar chairs and brass accents. Modernized fixtures and appliances create a cohesive and enjoyable kitchen space for both cooking and entertaining.
The living, kitchen, and dining spaces connect with new hardwood throughout. New pendants denote the dining and living sections and a new fireplace acts as a focal point for gathering. The fireplace doubles as an entertainment center while keeping everything nicely tucked away in a custom-designed cabinet. The fireplace unit is asymmetrical (fireplace on right two-thirds, storage on left third) to minimize competition between the two elements. The cabinet was sized to be the same height as the fireplace, and oversized tiles were specified and then cut down to perfectly align grout lines and enhance cohesion. The space is completed with motorized sunshades to balance the lighting at any time of day.
The primary suite underwent a luxurious spa-like renovation, featuring new wood flooring, light fixtures, and finishes. By removing the oversized tub, the shower was transformed into a grand space with matte black marble tile, wrap-around glass walls, and a toiletry nook. The use of matte black tile in the shower adds a high-end touch and contrasts beautifully with the bright white, floating dual vanity with marble countertops and light wood. The double vanity was raised to better fit the owners' needs, and new built-in wood shelving and a custom-organized walk-in closet provide ample storage.
At the entry, commercial office-style doors were replaced with large sliding barn doors that could act as doors for the entry closet or section off the redesigned second bed and bath to create its own guest suite. New built-in shelving adds a custom touch to the bedroom for a guest or expanding family.
