This stylish reinvention of an existing penthouse condo in the Queen Anne neighborhood artfully marries modern elements with the building’s traditional character. The design caters to the client's vision of providing a dazzling experience for guests while creating an ideal space for entertaining. The design harmonizes soft modern style with a blend of natural stone elements, offering a striking interplay of light and dark, adorned with rich textures, vibrant color accents, and elegant fixtures.
The centerpiece is the redesigned staircase, which serves as both a functional feature and a striking sculptural statement. Created with a modern aesthetic, the staircase connects the main living area and the private rooftop deck. It showcases quarter-sawn white oak treads on a custom steel single spine, along with cold-rolled steel handrail and exposed stringers with a clear wax finish.
The open kitchen was refreshed with new custom cabinets, Pental Quartz countertops, and high-end Wolf appliances. The primary bath underwent a few updates including new shower tile, an updated vanity and new lighted mirrors and sconces. The condominium's brightness is significantly amplified through an array of dramatic lighting elements. A captivating chandelier hovers over the staircase, accompanied by LED strips beneath the kitchen cabinets, tread lights on the stairs. The guest bedroom has been enhanced with new flooring and updated electrical work. The laundry room has been completely overhauled, featuring new cabinets, fresh paint, flooring, and whimsically patterned wallpaper. Lastly, the powder room was revamped with new plumbing fixtures, lighting, a vanity mirror, and a bold wall covering.
