Smartworks Multi-Family

This four-story multi-family housing project near Seattle Pacific University on Nickerson Street provides four large four- and five-bedroom apartments designed for student living, utilizing Built-Green incentives to maximize unit count on a compact site while ensuring affordability, simplicity, and durability in its design, achieving a Built Green 4-star certification.

This four-story multi-family housing project responded to a strong need for student housing on Nickerson Street in the Seattle Pacific University district. The project consists of four large four- and five-bedroom, two bath apartments, which enable students to have their own spaces, living in a true apartment. While the location was ideal, the small site posed some significant challenges for providing additional units.

By taking advantage of the Built-Green incentives four units were built on a site that would typically only allow three. As a budget-conscious project, the units were designed simply and affordably while also clean, open and durable. All interior and exterior finishes were selected as well as lighting and appliances. This project is Built Green 4-star certified.
