Greenwood Townhomes

This new 3-story building in the Greenwood-Phinney Ridge area, designed with townhouse units and live-work spaces, replaces an outdated multi-family structure to provide active commercial street frontage and a design that enhances the pedestrian experience, contributing positively to a neighborhood evolving into a denser, multi-family urban environment.

This new building, located near the Greenwood Town Center and the Greenwood-Phinney Ridge urban village, replaces an existing multi-family residence with a new 3-story building with townhouse units facing the adjacent single-family lots and live-work units facing Greenwood Avenue North. They are designed to provide commercial street frontage at the sidewalk level, in contrast to the existing structure which is set back from the street, and sunken below the sidewalk grade. The intention is to create a much more positive contribution to the neighborhood.

The new townhomes are near numerous transit locations and is embedded in a neighborhood transitioning from older low-rise apartments and single-family residences, to a more dense array of multi-family developments. The design enhances the pedestrian experience along Greenwood Ave N with durable, attractive materials and an architectural concept that fits into the context with articulated facades and an appropriately scaled building.
