INTERIOR DESIGNER / INTERIOR ARCHITECT

We are looking for a full-time Interior Designer / Interior Architect to support our awesome design team! The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, team-oriented and able to adapt to a dynamic fast-paced studio environment and would provide support primarily in project administration, design development and construction documentation.

This candidate will also have the following qualifications:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Researches and collects details for furniture and fixture cost estimates
  • Ability to multi-task is a must
  • Managing, collaborating and supporting the team on a variety of project types, phases and scales
  • Serve as project manager for interior design projects
  • Rose to include leading the design, communication, scheduling and monitoring project budgets
  • Provide interior design support for architectural projects. Role to include drafting and specifications
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects while effectively meeting deadlines
  • Communication and coordination with clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Assist the design team by researching and preparing concept images based on each client’s individual tastes
  • Draft floorplans, elevations and details into AutoCAD and/or Revit for full construction documents
  • Build complete SketchUp models and utilize photo-rendering plug-in software to create presentation images
  • Source and specify fixtures, finishes and furnishings
  • Manage and Organize materials library, in collaboration with interior design team/interns etc.
  • Maintain relationships with product and material reps
  • EXPERIENCE / TRAINING:

  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp and MS Office Suite
  • Revit experience is desired but not required
  • Knowledge of furniture, materials and building finishes
  • General knowledge and understanding of IBC/IRC.
  • Understanding of or desire to learn about furniture procurement is a plus
  • REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • 5-7 years of experience working on interior design projects
  • Strong conceptual and schematic design skills
  • An understanding of the phases of a typical design project
  • Familiarity with local product showrooms and vendors is desired but not required
  • Experience working within an architecture firm a plus
  • This is not your typical marketing position. Our ideal candidate can move between marketing and graphic design support with a talent for creating both visual and written content in a busy, deadline-driven studio. The Coordinator would directly support the Director of Marketing + Branding on a wide variety of projects, both for firm marketing and graphics and client branding projects. There are opportunities to support a variety of creative projects with this position along with the opportunity for future growth.

    This candidate will also have the following qualifications:

    MARKETING/ GRAPHICS

    COORDINATOR

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE):

  • Manage multiple social media channels and engagement
  • Assist with content creation for social media, blog, newsletters according to overall vision
  • Assist with copy for marketing materials, design projects and client branding documents
  • Assist with website updates in Wordpress
  • Assist with project proposals and presentations
  • Assist with the design and updates to a variety of marketing materials
  • Writing regular articles online whether on LinkedIn, Medium, or our own blog, etc.
  • Assist with occasional event coordination like quarterly artist receptions
  • Assist with seasonal campaigns and associated marketing and artistic materials
  • Assist with photography for social media and website, depending on skill and experience
  • Graphic design assistance with branding and design team, depending upon skill and experience
  • Assist with architectural graphics and renderings, depending upon skill and experience
  • QUALITIES:

  • Good visual eye for document design and layout, detail oriented

  • SKILLS:

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Wordpress, Mailchimp, Planoly, Canva
  • Formatting, graphic layout and production
  • Writing and editing skills, previous work as a copywriter a huge plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Entry level graphic design skills
  • Photography / Videography skills a plus but not required
  • Web design / development skills a plus but not required
  • Architectural graphics and renderings skills a plus but not required
  • EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Marketing Assistant, Marketing Coordinator, Social Media Manager, Copywriter, or similar role producing marketing materials A/E/C experience preferred

    EDUCATION:

    BS or BA degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design or related field is preferred

    MULTI-FAMILY PROJECT DESIGNER/ PROJECT ARCHITECT / PROJECT MANAGER

    We are looking for a full-time Multi-Family Project Designer / Project Architect / Project Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, team-oriented and able to adapt to a dynamic fast-paced studio environment. This candidate will also have the following qualifications:

    CANDIDATES SHOULD DEMONSTRATE EXPERIENCE IN:

  • Multi-family and mixed-use (design, permit process - particularly design review in City of Seattle)
  • Single-family residential, commercial / hospitality, tenant improvements (beneficial but not required)
  • Working knowledge of technical detailing (building envelope, wood framing over pt slab)
  • Building, energy and land use codes
  • Consultation coordination
  • Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite
  • CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE AN AFFINITY FOR:

  • Multi-tasking, running multiple projects at the same time
  • Superior time management
  • Working as a member of a team
  • Leading small design teams
  • CANDIDATES SHOULD BE INTERESTED IN:

  • A small, fun, lively office setting (we are currently partly open, partly remote)

  • Revit and/or AutoCAD required
  • Sketchup desired
  • Adobe Photoshop desired
  • CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE AN AFFINITY FOR:

  • Multi-tasking, running multiple projects at the same time
  • Superior time management
  • Working as a member of a team
  • CANDIDATES SHOULD BE INTERESTED IN:
