SHANNON WING
PRINCIPAL, ARCHITECT
Originally from Seattle, Shannon Wing has a passion for community-centered design. Shannon entered the architecture field following in her grandfather’s footsteps, receiving her Bachelor of Art in Architecture from the University of Washington then her Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland. During her education, she studied in France and Italy, absorbing inspiration from the local art, architecture, and culture. Following a short period working in Washington, DC, Shannon returned to the West Coast and now resides in West Seattle with her husband, two young children, and their family dog.
Shannon’s focus on community filters into all aspects of her work at Atelier Drome. She has experience working in a variety of roles on a range of project types, from residential to hospitality and commercial. Shannon prioritizes personal connections in every project – both with the client and the design and construction team. Shannon believes that projects are most successful when clients feel heard and understood. Working closely with clients, Shannon designs spaces that meet their immediate needs while also trying to anticipate their future needs. She is currently working on a variety of single-family residential projects throughout Puget Sound and has recently finished work on a multi-family project in the Queen Anne neighborhood. She enjoys camping, canoeing, and spending time with her family and friends in her free time.
