This new single-family residence in West Seattle was designed to work with the steep slope of the existing site. A split-level floor plan allows the home to maintain a smaller size in the front while growing in the back to provide the space needed for a family. The unique design also allowed for a large multi-level deck to provide a view over the water and outdoor useable space. The overall style of the home intentionally walks the line between Craftsman and modern and therefore more Contemporary with some Craftsman details.
Given the nature of the design, creating these three-dimensional models helped to communicate the design and how it fits seamlessly with the site.
