As a technology research and development firm with a clear brand and aesthetic, Moby was in need of a new conference room design for their existing office space in the Fremont neighborhood that would be functional and fit with their style. It was important to design a room that would be as open and interesting as the company, while also providing a location for private conversations, team meetings, and client presentations. A simple box form was designed with a slight angle at the entry as a nod to visitors. The glass walls have minimal structural support (in order to provide the most open room possible) and the glass barn door offers an opportunity to open the room up further, without affecting floor space while also adding visual interest.
