LISA TOWN, AIGA, SEGD
DIRECTOR OF BRANDING + MARKETING, ASSOCIATE
Lisa is a concept-focused creative who loves to be “behind the lens” — both literally and figuratively. With an eye for translating big ideas into meaningful visuals and identity materials, Lisa relishes the opportunity to connect with clients and dive into the “why” behind every project. Growing up on a farm in the remote countryside of Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, Lisa developed her creative problem-solving skills at a young age. Her leadership of the Branding Studio at Atelier Drome is based on 20 years of experience in a range of industries, from commercial photography to graphic design, to landscape architecture. From this diverse portfolio of practices, Lisa has honed a holistic, highly sensitive, and client- and community-focused approach to brand building.
Previously a licensed Landscape Architect, Lisa brings a design mindset to every project. Her ability to understand the intrinsic relationship between brand identity and other types of design help her approach visioning and strategy from a big picture perspective. With a B.A. in Art and decades of experience on both the client and designer side of graphics and branding projects, she is skilled at creating inventive solutions for real-world use.
Lisa bases her approach on an intimate and authentic understanding of the clients’ goals, and excels at walking them incrementally through the process of building their business identity. Her big picture thinking also extends beyond the project and the client, as she works to meaningfully embed each project within larger community and industry contexts. Lisa continues her engagement with the community outside of her work at Atelier Drome, through her photography work with local businesses and artists. When she isn’t behind the desk or the lens, Lisa can be found summiting Pacific Northwest peaks and playing with her overly-fluffy puppy.
