Lake Washington Physical Therapy’s West Seattle location is designed to center the occupant and their wellness journey. The 2,000-square-foot space overlooking Puget Sound includes a reception and waiting area, treatment rooms, open space for exercise equipment, and a compact cluster of offices. These programming zones were laid out with attention to ease-of-use and accessibility for the business's movement-impaired clients.
Drawing off the precedent of Lake Washington Physical Therapy’s other locations, the design incorporates cohesive elements as well as a few site-specific touches. The reception area includes a solid surface, marbled white counter, which steps down to an inviting, wood-paneled service desk. Spherical pendant light fixtures illuminate the area, and a mural to the right of the desk adds a lively burst of color and visual interest. Although the offices are nested within the center of the space, windows are thoughtfully added to help natural light infiltrate the work areas. The modern and activated environment was designed and constructed efficiently, allowing the clinic to quickly leap into operation.
