Abstract Paintings

Ariane

Collection Statement

Most of Ariane’s pieces to date have been color forward with bold and bright colors covering a canvas from edge to edge. Recently, though, Ariane has experimented more with negative space. First experimenting on paper then moving to canvas, Ariane’s latest unified body of work has showcased more untouched, white canvas. For Ariane, there’s something intriguing about the untouched space between sections of the painting that calls the eye to fill in the rest. And because everyone perceives art differently, Ariane enjoys knowing that these pieces will deliver that much more of a unique experience for each person.

Artist Biography

Art has been a part of Ariane’s life for over 10 years now, making a strong presence when she needed balance the most. Like many others, Ariane leaned on art as an outlet to get through 2020 and began sharing her works of art more publicly through Instagram. She poured energy into experimenting with new tools, perfecting certain techniques, and engaging with genuine fans in her immediate community. During Ariane’s first year of promoting her artwork, she experienced positive reactions from the community in the form of collectors and admirers. Her focus this year has been to push herself artistically and work further to achieve a larger reach and more exposure in the art community.

As a native New Orleanian who now lives in Seattle, Ariane believes her hometown has heavily influenced her abstract style which has been described as ‘prolific’, ‘vibrant’ and ‘carefree’. She equally enjoys creating large statement pieces, miniature works, and abstracts on paper. Ariane believes that the art people chose to fill their homes with is an expression of who they are, and the connection an individual has with a piece should be visceral and unique to them. Ariane’s artwork is for the heart in the home, and it is her hope that each of her pieces speak to a buyer in a personal way.
