SEATTLE-BASED PHOTOGRAPHER AND FILMMAKER SHOWS HIS LATEST COLLECTION, "BODIES OF WATER'
ATELIER DROME ART GALLERY
Our studio in Pioneer Square was specifically designed to create gallery space for a rotating schedule of local artists. We hold an opening reception in conjunction with the Pioneer Square First Thursday Art Walk at the beginning of each show to celebrate the new work of each artist. We believe that art is an integral part of all our live as are the makers, designers, artists and small business-owners within the neighborhoods where we live, work and play.
While we are not yet holding in-person artist receptions, shows are currently being held virtually on a rotating basis. Please join us in supporting these local artists!

We need art in our lives now more than ever.
During the first year of the pandemic in 2020, artists really took a hit with the inability to show their work in person, which included our own art gallery and artist reception program going on hold. However, at the same time, people everywhere suffered from the lack of art and we knew we needed to do something to bridge that gap in any way that we could. We posted about artists and ran virtual art walks but it wasn't getting to enough people. That was when we knew we needed to get physical pieces of art into people's hands.
To celebrate the new year in 2021, we sent out high quality 5x7 postcards with works from our participating gallery artists, both from past shows and those that are scheduled for installations sometime in the future. It was like sending out prints that people could enjoy for themselves, our little gift of art in a time when it's needed more than ever.
Once the card was received, people would check back here to find the image on their card to learn about the piece and the artist who created it. Then, we hoped people would hang their new art print in a place in their home or office that would bring them joy!
