ANNIE MICHELS

ARCHITECT, INTERIOR DESIGNER

Annie splits her time between Architecture and Interior Design which fits her passions beautifully. “I love solving the spatial problems that present themselves in architecture, but I am also drawn to the immediate, tactile, and somewhat transitory nature of interior design. I've chosen to take a path right down the middle. For me, this meant pursuing dual master’s degrees and practicing in both fields. Although uncommon, I love having the ability to speak the language on both ends of the spectrum and carry a vision all the way through to the furnishings.”

The exploration of new ideas and solutions are exciting to Annie, especially when it comes to small space living. As a designer who loves both living in and designing for small spaces, she intimately understands the ins and outs from both sides. Annie not only has a special knack for maximizing efficiency within the indoor realm but spends her time outside the office exploring the outdoor one through backpacking, snowboarding and exploring the latest pubs and restaurants around Seattle with her husband. She has a special superpower for unearthing adventure, even in the mundane. “Around every corner I've ever been, there has always been something new to discover!”
