This 1950s mid century modern home was in desperate need of a remodel, in order to bring the functionality into the 21st century. While this home was very small, the clients did not want to increase the footprint, but rather increase the usability of the spaces. New work included updates to all of the finishes, a completely reworked kitchen and bath, and added multi-function storage spaces. Additionally, a new sliding glass door in the 2nd bedroom/office was added to the exterior, with a folding wall system separating the room from the main living area. This allows the owners to open the entire space to the exterior, but still provides privacy to the bedroom when needed.
