henry walters, principal and leed ap I grew up in the frigid, wild arctic suburbs of south central Alaska, where walking to elementary school meant negotiating dark forests in the dead of winter filled with bears and wolves and armed only with my Superman flashlight. My interest in architecture started in high school in drafting and art classes, where I entered a number of design competitions and realized that I enjoyed pulling a pencil around a sheet of paper. I graduated from the University of Idaho in 1999 with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, before moving out to Seattle and working for some excellent Architects, including Gordon Walker, Carolyn Geise and Ben Trogdon. My experience working for these excellent mentors developed in me a desire to help create a small, fun, collaborative design studio focused on excellent design and a high level of personal service.
