Together with our clients (a couple and their son, recent immigrants from Heidelberg), we worked with them to create their dream of a modern German restaurant in the Ravenna neighborhood of Seattle.

Rather than focus on German cliches, the owners wanted to embrace their heritage from the city of Heidelberg using a modern palette. The blues are reminiscent of the sky and play well among the birch ply cabinetry and furniture. Birch and other lighter trees are dominant in southwest Germany.
